I nflammation is a key component of both acne and rosacea. The physical discomfort of these chronic skin diseases is often compounded by psychological concerns, including depression and anxiety. Patients might feel isolated or ugly. But the cause of these feelings might not be external at all— rather, there is evidence that inflammation can put people into a bad state of mind.
